Soon after meeting his fiancé, Ruby in October of 2009, he moved to Taipei, the capital of the island and began taking intensive Chinese lessons at Shida University(National Taiwan Normal University). He spent nearly three years living in Taipei and became intimate with the city. In August of 2012 he moved to Zhongli city in Taoyuan county, where he currently resides. He is very knowledgeable of Taiwan, especially with regards to the North half of the island. He established this blog in an effort to help the next generation of foreigners in Taiwan.
